Drapers to Debut L’Atelier Côte d’Or La Tâche March 3 (Bethesda) March 4 (DC)

Drapers is pleased to announce that it will debut the L’Atelier Côte d’Or La Tâche Thursday, March 3 at Drapers Bethesda and Friday, March 4 at Drapers Downtown DC. The debut coincides with the visit of Tatuaje Cigar’s Pete Johnson.

The L’Atelier Côte d’Or La Tâche will be a 5 1/2 x 50 robusto version of the Côte d’Or blend, which uses the Ecuadorian Sancti Spiritus wrapper found on the L’Atelier Selection Spéciale and Nicaraguan fillers including, pelo de oro, which has become a sort of signature for the brand. Pelo de oro, which translates to golden hair, has been banned in Cuba due to its propensity to mold. The tobacco, which has a unique golden color, has been a prized leaf amongst the José “Pepín” García family farms.

The cigar is limited to 2,000 boxes of 10 cigars. Unlike last year’s, the La Tâche will be a round cigar.
