New York State’s tobacco tax will soon be going up to a whopping 75%.  Tom Johansmeyer of Cigar Reader has written A Post-Tax Guide for Tobacconist and Cigar Manufacturer Survival and mentions W. Curtis Draper among “retailers [that] are doing a great job on the web.”

More states are entertaining the idea of increased tobacco taxes.  Given the financial pressures taxes pose to tobacconists and tobacco enthusiast alike, it is imperative that we challenge these taxes aggressively and become better business owners and more educated consumers.  Read more here…
