ProCigar, the Association of Dominican Cigar Manufacturers, announced their annual festival will take place February 6-11, 2011 in the Dominican Republic. The ProCigar Festival takes guests throughout the Dominican Republic complete with premium cigars, golf, cigar factory tours and seminars. Attendees will have a chance to sample traditional Dominican cuisine, dance and the fabled beaches.

Events commence at the famous Casa de Campo Resort on the country’s southeast coast, La Romana. Guests will have the opportunity to relax at the beach, play at the legendary Pete Dyes’ Teeth of the Dog golf course and visit the Tabacalera de García Cigar Factory. Deeper in the heart of the cigar country in Santiago de los Caballeros, cigar factory tours continue at: General Cigar, Davidoff, MATASA, La Aurora and Tabaquisa.

Draper’s John Anderson is raising funds for the non-profit The Wounded Warrior Projectas part of Fight Gone Bad 5. John is a member of the Potomac CrossFit team and is raising $3,000 for the WWP. The organization, established by Veterans, provides unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of severely injured service members.
